Privacy Policy
This policy describes how OneGryd Services LLC, the operator of I attempted it™ (“we,” “us”), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit iattempted on the web or use the I attempted it product to track course attendance and exam outcomes. You do not need an account to read this page.
Who we are

Information we collect
We collect only what the product needs to run a team, a session, and a report.
- Account. Name, email address, and a password hash stored by BetterAuth. We also send verification and password-reset messages to that email.
- Team and roles. Team name, invite code, membership, role (owner, instructor, manager, student), upline manager, and any email a team owner pre-assigns to a role.
- Attendance. Which session you scanned, when you checked in, and which course that session belongs to.
- Exam outcomes. Pass or fail recorded on a course card, and the timestamp of that mark.
- Sessions. Time-boxed session tokens used to generate the QR code. Tokens expire or end when the instructor closes the session.
- Notifications. Device and browser push subscriptions, delivered through OneSignal, so instructors and upline managers can be told about attendance and exam results. We may also send team-authored broadcasts to members who can receive them.
- Technical logs. Standard request logs from our web host (Vercel) such as IP address, user agent, and timestamps, used to operate and secure the service.
How we use information
- Create and authenticate your account.
- Run attendance sessions and record exam outcomes.
- Show instructors, managers, and owners the reports they are allowed to see.
- Send transactional mail (verification, password reset) and product notifications you have enabled.
- Keep the service available, debug failures, and prevent abuse.
We do not use your roster, attendance, or exam data to train public machine-learning models.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with processors that run the product:
- Neon — hosted Postgres, where accounts, teams, attendance, and exam records live.
- Vercel — hosts the web application and API.
- OneSignal — delivers push notifications.
- Resend — delivers transactional and broadcast email when configured.
- BetterAuth — authentication library that stores session and credential records in our database; it is not a separate consumer of your roster.
Team owners and the roles they assign can see the attendance and outcomes for people in that team, within the permissions of each role. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the service and its users.
Cookies and session
We use a session cookie (and related BetterAuth cookies) so you stay signed in. These are required to use the product. We do not run third-party advertising cookies on the marketing or app pages. The embedded film on the landing page is hosted by Livid; their player may set its own cookies when you press play. See Livid’s privacy policy for that player.
Retention
We keep account, team, attendance, and exam records for as long as your account is active. Session QR tokens expire automatically. Push subscriptions last until you disable notifications or delete your account. You can permanently delete your account and all associated personal data at any time from within the app — deletion is immediate and irreversible, and no separate request is required.
Security
Passwords are stored hashed, not in plaintext. Session tokens for QR check-in are time-boxed and can be ended early. Access to team data is role-scoped. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; we work to protect the data we hold.
Children and training context
I attempted it is built for adult training teams (for example professional licensing prep). It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.
Your choices
- Access or correct the profile information on your account page.
- Leave a team, or ask a team owner to remove you.
- Disable push notifications in the browser or OS settings.
- Delete your account and all associated personal data at any time from within the app, under Account & Security — deletion is immediate and permanent.
- Request a copy of your data by emailing privacy@iattempted.com.
If you are a California resident, you may request access, deletion, and confirmation that we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising those rights.
Changes
If we change this policy in a material way, we will update the date above and, when the change affects how we use data already collected, we will notify signed-in users in the product or by email.
